Join Kensington Senior Living and Dr. David Hart, Leading Psychologist, for an informative virtual gathering for all you need to know about The Connection Between Dementia and Mental Health.

Using Dan Siegel’s Hand Model of the Brain, participants will learn the neurobiology of cognitive, behavioral, and functional changes associated with each stage of dementia. Person-centered strategies for advancing patient and caregiver wellness will also be discussed.

David Hart, Ph.D. is a clinical mental health counselor with 20 years of experience working with people with dementia and their families. Dr. Hart received his Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and was formerly the Director of Education at Alzheimer’s Family Center – a state-of-the-art adult day health care center affiliated with Hoag Hospital’s Neurosciences Institute. Currently, Dr. Hart is Director of Community Health at Always Best Care Senior Services and Director of Clinical Training for the Department of Counseling at California State University, Fullerton. Dr. Hart is the Founding Chair of the South Bay Dementia Education Consortium, is Co-Chair of the Orange County MFT Consortium, and has presented his published research at national and international conferences.
