At The Kensington Redondo Beach, YOU, as a family caregiver, matter to us as much as our residents do. We understand that caregiving for a senior with dementia is a demanding responsibility. We also believe that it is one you should not undertake alone.
That’s why we strive to preserve your well-being by helping you stay positive, manage fatigue and make the most of moments as your loved one’s body and memory changes. Join us the first Tuesday of every month to share time connecting with other caregivers and discussing common challenges in a welcoming, private setting. Let The Kensington be your trusted resource for information and the comforting ally you need!
Our virtual spousal support group will be facilitated by Susie Sarkisian, CPCC, Certified Life Coach. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, lean in for support and draw comfort from others who know how it feels to be a family caregiver.
Susie has worked in senior living for the last 15 years, most recently as the Director of Family Services for our sister community The Kensington White Plains in New York. As a daughter whose father had Lewy Body Dementia, Susie found herself drawn to supporting her mother, the caregiver (pictured right). She is a Certified Life Coach, specially trained in listening, coaching, supporting, and validating others. Click here to learn more about Susie.

The Kensington Redondo Beach is a leading senior living provider of best-in-class memory care. Our experience has shown that memory loss is as unique as each resident we serve. Although the progression of decline is often predictable, its pace and how it affects individuals are not. So, we strive to “catch” telltale symptoms as early as possible and then take immediate, personalized steps to preserve existing cognitive ability.
To that end, we are pleased to introduce The Kensington Club, a third tier of memory care for new and current assisted living residents whose mild changes in memory are interfering with daily living. It features a strong relationship-based focus, peer support, sensory movement and family participation.
Please join us for an Open House Brunch to learn more! Our Kensington team of experts including Zamira Calderon, Director of Assisted Living, will share the importance of early Memory Care and what you can do as a caregiver to better support your loved one’s journey. Enjoy a delicious spread of brunch bites and beverages—masterfully prepared by Executive Chef Rommel. Stop by, share your story and lean on us for support!
