- Fig and Almond Snack Bars
- Cranberry Bean & Sausage Stew

- Chewy Chai-Spiced Cookies
Chef Annie Fenn will also share the benefits of the MIND Diet, which studies have shown can decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Making spirits bright this holidays season! At The Kensington, we promise to love and care for your family as we do our own. And that includes you! We keep up with the latest advances in health and wellness, care, therapies and nutrition, and we give you access to information and resources as we acquire them.

Dr. Annie Fenn is the founder of The Brain Health Kitchen, the only cooking school of its kind focused exclusively on brain health and helping people prevent cognitive decline through food and lifestyle. After twenty years as a board-certified ob-gyn, she traded in her stethoscope for an apron to pursue her passion for the culinary arts. But it was her mother’s diagnosis with dementia that helped Fenn find her path and her new calling, one that enabled her to not only help her mother but also create significant and meaningful impact for others. Fenn lives in Jackson, Wyoming. Find her on Instagram at @brainhealthkitchen.

YOU, as a caregiver, matter to us as much as our residents do. We understand that care giving for someone can, at times, be a demanding commitment. We also believe it is one you should not undertake alone. That’s why we strive to preserve your well-being by helping you stay positive, manage fatigue and make the most of time spent with your loved one. Let The Kensington be your trusted resource for information and the comforting ally you need.
Please join us on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of every month with our facilitator Lisa Bricker. Share time connecting with other dementia caregivers and discussing common challenges in a welcoming, private setting. This group is complimentary and open to all family caregivers, whether your loved one is living at home or in a community.

Lisa Bricker is an Elder Care Consultant, Placement Specialist, and Founder of Gently Guided, LLC. She helps families transition forward with compassion. She has served hundreds of families of diverse needs as a Senior Care Consultant and Alzheimer’s and Dementia Placement Specialist. Families feel peace of mind as she takes the burden of “feeling alone” off of their shoulders.

The holiday season is a time of new and old traditions, and sharing in the joy and togetherness of spending time with friends and family. But for families whose loved ones are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or Dementia, the holidays can be stressful and overwhelming; and for family caregivers, oftentimes difficult to remember the joy that holidays can bring.
Kensington Senior Living is thrilled to partner with our panel of caregiver coaches and experts: Lisa Bricker, Elder Care Consultant; Melissa Long, Director of Education and Support at Insight Memory Care Center; and Monica Moore, Community Health Program Manager for the Mary S. Easton Center for Alzheimer’s Research & Care. From purposeful gift ideas to creative, meaningful ways to spend time together, our experts will discuss how to adapt while caring for your loved one; and new ways to find joy in the wonderfulness of the season.
